Latics top payers in Premier League

Latics top payers in Premier League

Bristol based Jordans Limited found, during a survey, that Wigan Athletic pay the highest average salary of any closely held UK company, whatever that means.

Latics average salary was £348,508 putting them above big spenders such as Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal.

Wigan Athletic staff of 69 are made up of 52 playing and coaching staff and 17 'others`, groundsman etc. this will push up the average salary with the players on mega bucks and the club not employing many in the roles that some clubs have.

Indeed a spokesperson said:

"Wigan Athletic operate at the highest level of the game with a fraction of the staff of more established Premier League clubs''

So Latics ARE top of the league

Six of the top ten companies in the survey were football clubs from the Premier League
