Wigan star player, the score so far

Wigan Athletic man of the match performances lead to players becoming legends in the eyes of the fans and a regular feature here on Vital Wigan is the Man of the Match poll after each game.

Bellow is a list of the winner of each of the polls so far this season:

Everton (a) - Bramble

Middlesbrough (h) - Heskey

Sunderland (h) - Landzaat

West Ham (a) - Bramble

Newcastle (a) - Heskey

Fulham (h) - Bramble

Liverpool (h) - Brown

Man Utd (a) - Kirkland

Portsmouth (h) - Bramble

Chelsea (h) - Melchiot

Man City (h) - Bent

Bolton (a) - Granqvist

Blackburn (h) - Bent

Fulham (a) - Bent

Newcastle (h) - Brown

Aston Villa (h) - Bramble

Liverpool (a) - Bramble

Sunderland (a) (FA Cup) - Skoko

Derby (a) - Brown

Everton (h) - Bramble

Chelsea (h) (FA Cup) - Brown

Middlesbrough (a) - Kilbane

West Ham (h) - Palacios

Sunderland (a) - Palacios

Derby (h) - Scharner

Man City (a) - Palacios

The leading contenders to finish the season with most awards are Bramble 7, Brown 4 and Palacios 3.

With Bramble out of the team at the moment the race could well be between midfield buddies Michael Brown and Wilson Palacios.

Who do you think will collect most man of the match awards by the time the season ends?

It could be close but the way recent voting as been going and with his all out style of play Wilson Palacios could just sneak the most awards this season

Can't beleave that Valencia hasn't won one this season and interesting to see that 5 players (46% of the awards) who have been voted MOM can't even get a run on the pitch at the moment

I´d say Melchiot, anyone good enough to score against us deserves to win. (would rather none of your lads did that of course, but what can you do? :) )
