Vote for Wigan Man of the Match

Saturdays game at Ewood Park was a major disappointment for Latics fans, a 3-1 defeat against a ten man Blackburn side was a big let down after recent results.

Latics didn`t play as individuals or as a team and it is difficult to pick out a player who had a good game on what was a bitterly cold afternoon in East Lancashire.

When Erik Edman left the field with his sickening injury the team shape fell apart and the defence were all other the place with Kilbane having a nightmare at left back

We were let down in midfield with both Palacios and Brown losing discipline and getting cautions that will see them both miss next weeks trip to Portsmouth and Brown will also miss the home game with Birmingham.

Valencia was conspicuous by his absence during the whole 90 minutes and the front two of Heskey and King just didn`t work together…no they just didn`t work, if Heskeys not fit then don`t play him.

Kirkland was at fault for two goals but he had taken a knock early on in the game.

Neither Taylor nor Bent did anything to excite when they were brought on, Taylor looking very rusty indeed and Bent looks like he cant wait for the end of the season so that he can get back to Charlton

Who would you pick as your Man of the Match?

I have gone for Edman, he was our best player when he was on and we fell apart when he went off, personally don`t think any of the others deserve it.
