Maynor Figueroa Makes Wigan Debut

Wigan Athletics loan signing Honduran international Maynor Figueroa came on as a late second half substitute to make his English Premier League debut for the Latics

The young left back lined up on the left side of midfield alongside his international colleague and compatriot Wilson Palacios and played out the last five minutes of the victory over Birmingham City at the JJB that all but guarantees Latics survival in the top English league for another season.

With players such as Palacios and Figueroa the future could be as bright as an Honduran summers day for Wigan as they will surely now start to build on their status as a top flight club and push on to challenge for some honours next season
