Kirkland to Arsenal?

There is a strong rumour circulating that Arsene Wenger is about to make Wigan Athletic an offer that they wont be able to refuse for England goalkeeper Chris Kirkland

Wenger and Latics boss Steve Bruce have very close ties and operate well together in the transfer market, indeed Latics latest sensation Wilson Palacios came as a Wenger recommendation

Kirkland has been in superb form all season and he has put behind him the injury nightmares that he suffered from whilst at Liverpool and at 26 he is still very young in goalkeeping terms.

It would take a mighty big offer to tempt Latics to part with Kirky but it would also be hard to stand in his way if he were to have the chance to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world

We just start to have a bit of encouragement that we are building a good squad ready for next season and bang all these rumours that our players are going to be sold!

So far we've bought and sold to balance the books. Can't see that changing.

How has Kirkland been injury-wise recently? I always rated him very highly, but whats the point in being awesome if you never play?!

He's been fine all season, looks like he's gotten over his problems

I've lost count of the number of goalkeepers linked with Arsenal. LOL, do they want every single one out there?? :)
