Wigan Athletic News - Brownies Back

Wigan Athletic welcome back tenacious midfielder Michael Brown this week as they prepare for their next Premier League match, away at Chelsea next Monday night.

10th booking

Brown has been sadly missing for the last two matches after picking up his 10th booking of the season in the game against Blackburn at Ewood Park; the 10th booking carries with it an automatic 2 game ban.

Since signing from Fulham last summer Brownie has brought a side to the Latics style of play that had been missing since Graham Kavanagh left the club

Never say die attitude

Brown is an in your face, niggling, wont stop talking and winding up player that opposing fans loathe and home supporters love, just the type you need in your side when you are in a battle.

There is more to his game than this though and he can play a bit as well, covers every blade of grass on the pitch and has a never say die attitude that keeps him going till the final whistle blows.

So its welcome back Brownie, you`ve been missed this passed two weeks and I bet Herr Ballack and Mr Lampard are really looking forward to meeting you next Monday, not.
