Hutch to Huddersfield?

Former Wigan Athletic manager Chris Hutchings is being lined up to replace Andy Ritchie as the new boss of League One side Huddersfield Town according to The Sun and other sources.

Hutch took the managerial reigns at the JJB following the departure of his big mate Paul Jewell last May and he lasted until a defeat by Chelsea on the 3rd November made it ten games without a win.

He suffered a similar fate at Bradford back in 2000 and was also sacked there in November again after a bad losing streak.

Guess it aint Hutchs favourite month

Hutch was a well liked coach at Wigan but he found the step up to the managers chair a little too much and amid rumours of a dressing room revolt he just had to go.

His tenure wasn`t all doom and gloom, Latics were actually top of the Premier League for a few hours back in August with two wins and six points after three games, but that was about as good as it got.

There were a few who claimed that Hutch was just a puppet and the man pulling the strings was John Benson others were more cynical and said he was a Muppet.

Muppet or puppet Vital Wigan will wish Hutch all the best as he tries to make it third time lucky if indeed he does take up the hot seat at Huddersfield
