Robs Prediction Latics Spurs

Wigan prepare to entertain Tottenham in what really is a game that Wigan need to get something out of to continue their quest for three points and premier league survival though I rather believe that it was cemented at Chelsea.

For Bolton to win 3 games on the trot and to get a good goal scoring record at Boro has rather a lot to be desired.

That said, I can't see Boro losing to Bolton. The worst case scenario would be a draw and then Bolton have to go to Tottenham and Chelsea as well as a home game against Sunderland.

Not at all easy and the Bolton and Sunderland game is a real relegation battle though by that time, I think its a case of goodnight to Bolton.

Fulham and Derby I won't bother with because they are already dead in the water as far as I am concerned.

The game at the JJB Stadium is of critical importance to Wigan and they will be absolutely fired up and full of confidence - a crucial desire for games of this magnitude.

My only concern is will they let the magnificent score at Chelsea go to their heads?

I probably would think not because they know what's at stake here and Bruce will have told them what's what. Tottenham will not relish this trip.

That said, I can still see Tottenham probe a massive threat as their attack power has a lot to be commended - if only the same could be said about their defence which is where Wigan will seize their chances.

ROB'S PREDICTION: WIGAN 1 TOTTENHAM 0

This is going to be a really tough game for the home side but the home form speaks volumes and I think a determined defence coupled with a good attacking instinct to claim the victory might be too much for Tottenham Hotspur to cope with so although a battle is on the cards, I expect Wigan to just win this game with a nervy display.

I am also going for a Latics win Rob but with the history of high scoring games between the clubs I think it will be an entertaing 4-3 to Latics
