Wigan Athletic midfield sensation Wilson Palacios is delighted to be playing for the Latics and he has no intentions of leaving, not at the moment any way.
In an interview with the Wigan Evening Post the Honduran superstar said that it was nice to get spoken about, it meant he was playing well, but he also said that he wanted to concentrate on his football for the Latics.
Palacios said:
'I hear of interest from other clubs from time to time, but I just get on with playing football.
'On one hand, it is good to hear yourself receiving praise about how you are playing and getting attention, but I just prefer to keep working hard and trying to improve.
'I don't want to rest on my laurels. As a player you should always be
aiming to get better and better.'
He went on to tell the WEP that he had enjoyed the Chelsea game and that he was looking forward to Saturdays visit by Spurs in a game that the Latics see very much as winnable, Palacios said:
'I enjoyed playing at Chelsea, everyone did, and to come away from Stamford Bridge with a point was almost like a victory.
'We are aware Tottenham are a good side but we're aiming to work hard and get a victory.
'They have a lot of excellent players, Keane, Berbatov, Lennon and Jenas to name but a few, so it will be a difficult game.'
Wilson Palacios will hopefully be a Latics player for a few years yet and he should be part of the new crop that we build our success on, mid table mediocrity here we come
