Vote for your Latics Man of the Match

The poll to find the Latics Man of the Match in the Wigan Athletic Vs Reading game is now available to vote in, but with a nervous performance from the lads it could be difficult finding a winner

Apart from the opening 10 minutes Latics never got into gear and there wasn`t much flowing football on view and apart from a Bent effort that hit the upright there wasn`t much to get excited about

Latics started the game in the ascendancy but once that first 10 minutes had passed and the opening goal hadn`t come the lads started to get nervy.

Michael Brown was his usual tenacious self in the middle of the park and Boyce and Scharner gave creditable performances in the heart of the Latics defence to give the Reading attack few opportunities.

Chris Kirkland pulled off one cracking save in the second half but basically that was it, so I`m going for Brownie but who would you say was - 'Latics man of the match in the Reading game?`

The poll can be accessed on the right side of this page

Also available for you to vote in is the Vital Wigan 'Alf Craig Award` for the Latics player of the season, who has been your Latics man of 2007/08?

Brownie my man of the match yesterday and player of the season, proved to be an excellent signing

Brown was my MOM yesterday but was surprisingly reticent about tackling mind you giving soem of the strange decisions yesterday he was probably trying to avoid a sending off
baskerville
Scharner for me yesterday, Melchiot over the whole season. I think Bruce will be looking to inject a bit more pace into the midfield for next season.
