Palacios wins Man of the Match award once again

Palacios wins Man of the Match award once again

Wilson Palacios must be odds on favourite to win the Wigan Athletic player of the season award if his Man of the Match awards are anything to go by.

Palacios must be the find of the season and at the reported £750,000 fee that the Latics paid for the Honduran superstar he must be the bargain of the season as well

Last Saturdays game against Reading at the JJB was a nervous affair but Palacios played a vital roll in the game driving on the Latics through the midfield, he was superb.

If there is one message that Bruce and Whelan should listen to it must be please don`t sell Wilson this summer, lets build a team around him

What the poll asked - Who was Latics man of the match in the Reading game?

How you voted - Wilson Palacios 36%, Michael Brown 26%, Paul Scharner 17%

Current Poll - This weekend Latics travel to the Midlands to face Aston Villa in what could well be an important game for both clubs.

Although appearing safe a draw and a point could well make Steve Bruces men mathematically safe and planning for next season can start in earnest, whilst Villa are chasing Everton in 5th spot and a place in next seasons UEFA Cup

With Latics recent form, 8th in the Premiership since January, Martin O`Neil wont be taking us lightly though I can see a performance focused on defence from the Latics a point could well be on the cards so - 'Who will win on Saturday?`
