Wigan Athletic Skoko and Olembe Gone

Wigan Athletic have released Australian midfield player Josip Skoko along with Cameroon international Salomon Olembe

Skoko joined from Turkish club Genclerbirligi in the 2005, and made he 53 appearances during his time at the JJB.

Latics boss Steve Bruce said:

'It's always sad saying goodbye to good pros'

'Josip is a quality player who has never given me one bit of trouble, he has always given me everything when selected and we wish him all the best.'

Olembe made just nine appearances for the Latics since joining last August with Bruce quoted as saying:

'Again I have no complaints about Salomon, who has trained professionally and given me everything when called upon'

So the exodus has begun with these two being expected it is interesting to see who else will be shown the door by Bruce as he intends to turn the playing staff on its head
