Latics chase Geordie Star Charles N'Zogbia

Wigan Athletic are preparing a 3.5 million bid for Newcastle United`s Charles N`Zogbia according to the Daily Mirror

The 22 year old is predominantly a left sided player either on the wing or as an attacking left back and he has made over 100 senior appearances for the Geordies since signing for them in September 2004.

Zog, as N`Zogbia is known to the Newcastle fans, is uncertain of his future at St.James` Park under Kevin Keegan and would relish the challenge of switching to such a progressive club as the Latics

True or pure speculation?

We are short down the left side and this guy has pace to burn, personally I hope it is true

This would be a good signing IMO if it did come off

Wow, I think Zog is the 3rd best left sided player in the EPL after Martin Petrov and Gareth Bale. He is very fast, very strong and likes to attack, just perfect for us :) I hope its not just speculations

If that happens, it will make the 3rd Geordie's player in 2 years to join us :) What about Owen as a January transfer :P

He's been talked about before and we did bid for him when he was at Real Madrid so you never know!

This will be a brilliant signing for us. He's got pace, skill and can take the ball past people Hope it comes off but his wages might be a bit expensive. I would say around 30-35k a week. But you have to pay these wages no. We won't be held to ransom but we have to do it if we wanna improve.
