Latics season tickets are value for money

Latics season tickets are value for money

The voters on the last poll on Vital Wigan overwhelmingly stated that Wigan Athletic season tickets for the forth coming 2008/09 Premier League season are value for money at £250 - £295

When you look at the prices of other Premier League clubs you can see that Latics are indeed the cheapest, here are a selection:

Chelsea £530 - £1,150

Liverpool £488 - £740

Aston Villa £265 - £510

Portsmouth £600 - £770

Fulham £299 - £779

The three clubs promoted from the Championship all charge more than the Latics:

Stoke City £399 - £579

West Brom £399 - £499

Hull City £355 - £450

A quick look at some other clubs through out the leagues shows just how fair a price the JJB is:

Sheffield Wednesday £366- £805 (Championship)

Walsall £280 - £720 (League 1)

Lincoln City £265 - £475 (League 2)

Premier League football for less than what they charge in League 2, we certainly are a club that puts the fans first.

What the poll asked - £250 for a season ticket - fair price?

How you voted - Yes 81%, No 19% (I cant believe 19% voted No)

Current Poll - There were a lot of issues surrounding the state of the JJB pitch last season and a lot of 'experts` wrongly put this down to Wigan Warriors sharing the ground.

Though the rugby didn`t have any affect on the pitch the poll this week is asking is it time they left the JJB and got their own ground, after all we are a Premier League club, so - 'Should Wigan Warriors be evicted from the JJB?`

The poll can be accessed on the right side of this page

Dan's Big Game Report - Blackpool 0 Latics 4

As you read this message in the year 2036, much of Blackpool vs. Wigan '16 has passed into the annals of Latics lore. Scarcely has a single game of kickball received quite as much build-up - from the minute this fixture was announced to the moment match ref Stuart Attwell finally tootled on his tin whistle, talk of Bloomfield Road on 30 April was incessant.

And I expect it's been much the same since, with (admittedly failed) film scripts written and (admittedly shoddy) statues
