Wigan Athletic Transfer Rumours Sunday 1st June

A quick flick through the Sunday papers and a browse of the news sites on the internet and it becomes clear that Wigan Athletic are being linked with every player on the planet, lets take a look some of the rumours

Marlon Harewood the Aston Villa striker that we tried to sign last season is about to leave Villa Park and some press reports are linking us with a move for him, cant see this one having much credence and a move to the Championship looks on the cards for Marlon

David Suazo the Inter Milan striker is apparently being chased by Wigan Athletic and Manchester United, Suazo is a Honduran international and also the cousin of Latics Wilson Palacios and new signing Hendry Thomas, no doubt Bruce would like Suazo at the JJB but would Latics be able to afford the fee?

Dudu Aouate the Israeli goalkeeper who reportedly had a fall out at Deportivo La Coruna where he allegedly had a punch up with the other keeper Gustavo Munua, Latics have been told they can have him for £1 million, so to have Bolton.

Noe Pamarot the former Spurs full back now at Portsmouth is apparently attracting the interest of Steve Bruce with Harry Redknapp keen to do business, Sunderland are also reportedly interested.

Ibrahima Sonko, quite possibly the worst defender in the Premier League last season is looking to leave relegated Reading with the Latics reported to be interested, hope not!

Zoltan Gera once again becomes linked with a move to Wigan from West Brom for the third year on the trot, this time though he`s available on a free after his contract expires at the end of the month; previously Latics had big money bids knocked back by the Albion.

There will be a lot more players that we are linked with over the coming few weeks, if you hear of any rumours why not drop on our message boards and let us know.

This is the silly season and journalists are filling their coloumns with all sorts of rumours, its a matter of taking 99% with a pinch of salt, be nice to see David Suazo at the JJB though!

Steve Bruce made quite a few unheard of foreign signings during his time at Birmingham.
