A quick flick through the Sunday papers and a browse of the news sites on the internet and it becomes clear that Wigan Athletic are being linked with every player on the planet, lets take a look some of the rumours
Ross McCormack, the Motherwell striker that was supposedly signing a pre-contract agreement with the Latics back in January is once again being linked though a free agent McCormack is still being 'advised` by 'Well boss Mark McGhee.
McGhee is quoted as telling McCormack not to sign for Latics or the other Premier League club linked, Middlesbrough, as we aren`t big enough
Latest reports suggest that McCormack will be joining Championship club Nottingham Forest as Junior Agogos replacement, who we all know is going to replace Amr Zaki at Zamalek, who is…yes we all know that one.
Carlos Tenorio is crying out for a move to England and he is telling every news agency that will listen that he fancies linking up with Ecuador international team mate Antonio Valencia at the Latics
Wigan were linked with Tenorio back in the last transfer window and this could be just old news regurgitated with the centre forward trying to orchestrate a move away from his current club Al Saad in Qatar
Tenorio told somebody:
'I am waiting for a team to make an offer to Al Saad and if it's important for them and for me I would like to have the chance to live a new experience.'
Wouldn`t we all Carlos
Lee Cattermole the Middlesbrough and England U21 central midfielder is reportedly the subject of a £2 million bid by Steve Bruce
Cattermole recently signed a contract extension at Boro and at 20 is seen by Boro boss, Gareth Southgate, as one for the future, plus Lee`s cousin Paul Cattermole was in SClub7, that in itself is enough not to sign him
Hameur Bouazza the Fulham left sided midfield player is in Steve Bruces radar, according to several reports last week we are planning a £3 million bid for the Algeria international.
Bouazza was at Watford before former Craven Cottage boss Lawrie Sanchez signed him for Fulham last July, since Roy Hodgson took over at the Cottage, Bouazza has played just two games, it does look like he is on his way out.
Espanyol and Osasuna are both reported to be interested as well as the Latics.
Carlo Costly is once again being linked with a move to the JJB, again like the case with Tenorio this looks like old news being regurgitated.
The Honduras forward was linked back in January with a move to the Latics but it didn`t materialise then and it isn`t likely to do now either, now David Suazo, Costlys inetrnational team mate would be a different matter
Emerson Boyce attracted the attention of the national press this week when Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan was rumoured to have made a £3 million bid for the versatile defender.
Latest news coming out of the JJB concerning Boycie is that he will be putting pen to paper on a contract extension when he returns from his holidays in two weeks.
