Latics fans want home friendly

Latics fans want home friendly

The voters on the last poll on Vital Wigan stated quite categorically that they were in favour of a home pre-season friendly down at the JJB

It is now two years since Wiganers got a chance to see the Latics playing at home before the start of the season, its good to see new signings and how they are settling in before the real stuff begins

There is talk of a game against new signing Amr Zaki`s former club, Egyptian giants Zamalek sometime in early July so we just might get a peak this year.

What the poll asked - Should Latics have a high profile friendly at the JJB

How you voted - Yes 83%,

Current Poll - Whilst we are talking about our home ground Vital Wigan`s Jonni_G has come up with a good idea for a poll regarding the stadium

As we all know the JJB doesn`t have the corners filled in, we were told the reason for this was to help the pitch keep in good condition, that worked.

I remember a few years ago Ibrox Park the home of Glasgow Rangers was four separate stands and it does give the impression of a subutteo stadium, personally I would like the corners filled in for appearance but what Jonni_G is asking is - 'Should Latics have side extensions built on the sides of the JJB for larger attendances?`

The poll can be accessed on the right side of this page

Think it would add to the atmosphere too.

I agree with andyjofish. We need the side extensions, this for larger attendances plus it will give us a better atmosphere. I think it will be brilliant if we do. I'm not saying doesn't look good as it is because i love it. But most stadiums have this now

Yup, no question it would improve the atmosphere, maybe just between the east/south and west/south stands. A corner screen would be good too. I'd also like blue seats not red! Have I gone too far?

No way, I agree with you perfectly. Nearly every stadium has a screen now.

Lets be honest why do you want more seats put into a ground that you already struggle to fill?

You should always plan to improve your team and what better than your stadium. Dn't forget that the attrndances have been going up every year
