Scharner to put pen to paper on new Wigan deal

Scharner to put pen to paper on new Wigan deal

Wigan Athletic player of the season Paul Scharner could be about to put pen to paper on a new three year deal with the club after a compromise over his wage demands.

The madcap Austrian defender was originally reported as asking for £40,000 per week which would have seriously jeopardised his future at the Latics

It is now believed that negotiations have drawn both parties close together and an agreement is not too far away, this would be great news for the Latics

He looked very good last season in his new position in defence. Good news for you if he stays.
