Villa's O`Neil Interested in Wigan's Heskey?

According to a report (yes I know its Tribal) Aston Villa boss Martin O`Neil is looking to take Wigan Athletic talisman Emile Heskey back to the Midlands

O`Neil gave Heskey his debut when they were both at Leicester City and O`Neil sold the gifted player to Liverpool where he flourished into a world class striker.

Last season the big man made an amazing start and earned himself an England call up and he was sensational in the two internationals that he played in.

Unfortunately he broke a metatarsal playing for the Latics against Fulham last September and suffered from niggling injuries for the rest of the season never allowing him to recapture his early season form.

Heskey is too important to the Latics to be allowed to go to Villa, indeed they could be seen as one of our main rivals as we aim to challenge for that UEFA Cup spot next season so why would we sell to them anyway.

A fully fit Heskey with a good preseason under his belt is just what we need to lead the line at the JJB and help bed in our new Egyptian superstar Amr Zaki.

Hesks, you`re going nowhere

Cant let Heskey leave, cant see this one happening anyway, dont think he'd go to Villa to sit on the bench like Harewood did all last season
worbo
The way it is going are we going to have any strikers left for next season?
baskerville
A much travelled chap heskey. You would think he would settle at some point
codbater
Nah, it is on tribal with no substance or quotes. Good striker when fit but how often is he fit? Got an awful record at all clubs as far as I can see?
The Fear
i didn't really get to see him last season but i heard he had a great season, but i still wouldn't want him at villa. its good to see that you have decent expectations for next season re: competing with us for a european spot but, i don't think you have a chance, in fact i think we will struggle unless we make a fair few decent signings and by that i definatly don't mean heskey. There is just too much money being splashed around by too many clubs
liamo1981
Can't afford to let Ivanhoe go.
robin
I am with you Rob...he's gotta stay
worbo
we dont want him and you are not going to be rivallin us for the uefa cup slots you dreamers
rotter82
"one of our main rivals"????? LOL. Your rivals will be competing for 17th place and will be lucky with that. Look at the table at the moment, could be where you end up. The table never lies!!!!
Villan444
He's a good hard working forward, he's just never delivered enough goals.
dazza71
Well Villan444 seeing as you lot are such a big club I must appologise for speakingabout you in the same breath as little Wigan. We'll see once the season gets underway. How many times have you beaten us in the last two seasons? Thought so
worbo
These Vile supports have a very short memory. The reason their Eurpoean hopes took a nose dive is cos 'little Wigan' stuffed them 2-0 at their gaff. We'll see who'll still be looking down their noses at us next season.
Thailatic
It wouldn't surprise me. It was O'Neill after all who set Heskey's career off. With Agbonlahor and Young around him and Carew he will score goals aswell as work for the team. Would be a massive loss for Wigan. - Leicester fan
FatherTed
tbh lads we are a much better team than you and i think that the best you can hope for next season would be to finish at around 14th MAX,, i really dont see how you could compete with us,, especially with only 6 fans per home game!
villavillavilla
I know we beat you once last season but not sure if you were in the prem before that. I only tend to look at the top half of the table so wouldn't have seen you guys anyway. @:-D As I said, you start bottom and I think you wil struggle to get far off there. Especially if you lose the work house and sack of spuds ( a man whom is only surpassed for diving compared to his massive size by Drogba) who is Emile Heskey. But seriously good luck even if you do have the Potato head and ex blue-nose in charge, he is becoming a decent manager.
Villan444
Wigan will do alright and I dont think we can have a go at them for saying they could challenge for Europe.I think this thing of them being our bogy team is a load of rubbish,Man U,Man City,Arsenal,Liverpool, all London fixtures now theres bogy fixtures..
