Daniel De Ridder signs for Wigan

Daniel De Ridder has officially signed for Wigan Athletic.

The Holland Under 21 star made 12 starts for Birmingham last season but he is highly regarded in the game.

De Ridder was chased by a host of other clubs but pumped for the Latics with boss Steve Bruce a major influence.

De Ridder told the official site:

"When a manager says he wants you for his team, it is very flattering, especially when it is a big team like Wigan who are now well established in the Premier League,"
