Cabanas no go to Wigan Athletic
It appears that Wigan Athletic target Salvador Cabanas is staying put at Mexican club America.
The Paraguay international forward was the subject of interest from Latics boss Steve Bruce and a reported £6 million bid was made last week.
Cabanas is said to want to stay where he is for the time being and told reporters:
'I want to stay. Playing in Europe would please me, but right now I don`t want to leave América, I want to win something here. I want to be champion and hopefully it`ll happen this season.
'What I have to do is work hard, be focused, be at 100 percent with the team and then we`ll see what will happen.
'I don`t know anything about interest from English clubs; you must speak about this to my agent or to the club"
Fair do`s Salvador, a player showing a bit of loyalty isn`t a bad thing these days.
