Pollitt Out For A Month

Pollitt Out For A Month

Wigan Athletic keeper Mike Pollitt will be out of action for at least a month after being injured in the Carling Cup Final against Manchester United.

Jewell said: 'It was heartbreaking for the lad to pull his hamstring in what was arguably the biggest game of his career. He is out for four to six weeks, which if it's the latter won't be too far short of the end of the season.

John Filan will once again start in goal with possibly Gary Walsh being on the subs bench.

Polly will be missed. I didn't rate him to begin with, but he showed how god he was against Arsenal. Let's hope Filan keeps injury-free because I don't fancy having Walsh in goal!
