'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Latics Best Ever

Vital Wigan is currently running the 'Latics Best Ever` series and we are starting off with the best ever fullback to have played for Wigan Athletic and there have been many greats down the years.

My own personal favourite is Carl Bradshaw, mad as a hatter and as hard as nails, Bradders was signed from Norwich City who ditched him after he had served a jail sentence for assaulting a taxi driver.

Bradshaw was brought to the club by John Deehan and quickly installed as captain, I think because Deehan was frightened of him though Bradshaw was a quality player and excellent leader on the pitch.

There are many other candidates, Scott Green, Joe Hinnigan and who could forget the legend that is Gavin Johnson.

The poll is available for all to vote on and can be found on the right side of this page, if your favourite is missing please let me know and I will add them to the poll.

Melchiot, followed by Chimbonda and Joe Hinnigan.

Joe Hinnegan, Ltics legend, I worked at the club on match days as a teenager and Joe always had time for us. Great guy. In modern times it would have to be super Mario, the classiest full back I have ever seen
baskerville
Good to see Frodo edging ahead now.
