Wigan - Andy Johnson about to sign?

Everton striker Andy Johnson appears set to complete a move to Wigan Athletic even though Toffee`s manager David Moyes claims he isn`t for sale.

The Daily Mail reports that Johnson favours a move to Latics over rivals Sunderland as it keeps him in the North West and according to the paper a fee of 10 million has been agreed

Whilst various Everton fans sites report that Johnson missed last nights flight to Switzerland with the rest of the Everton squad because he was meeting Latics 'representatives` yesterday (Monday) and will today (Tuesday) be unveiled at the JJB.

Deals are never straight forward these days, even if this is true could take a while to complete and 10 million! How many ex-Brum players will we have?

I know but this is one signing that I believe will really benefit the club in the fourth season -- good though that whatever happens he doesn't favour a move to Sunderland as apparently he wants to stay up North. Good on yer, Andy!

still reserved on the price but hey we need goals and he scores them, if we can snare Zaki somehow as well our strike force will be a bloody decent one, big change on last year thats for sure

A striker who doesn't score goals? Who doesn't need one of them?

Johnson is in Switzerland and nothing will happen until he gets back. Even then it wouldn't be a surprise if he opts to stay where he is, which wouldn't bother me at all for that price.
