FIFA's number 1 is a Latic

Wigan Athletic new striker Amr Zaki is ranked number 1 forward in the world by FIFAs ranking system

The Egypt international has a fantastic scoring rate for his country and Latics boss Steve Bruce is hoping he can bring this to the Premier League.

Bruce says:

'According to FIFA statistics, Zaki is rated No 1 in the world'

'He's scored better than one in two for his country and Egypt won the Africa Cup of Nations. He's a big star out there, I hope he can be for us.'

Its taken a while for us to get him heres hoping its been worth the chase

Great signing for you lot. Great strength and energy!

Amr Zaki 1.5 for one-year loan. Moteb purchased for about the same for 3 years. Amr a great player and can get over ten goals in the EPL even in his first year. However, why dose B City get a player that has about the same scoring record and only slightly less talented than Zaki for what looks like 3 times less money and about 90 times less effort. Will have to wait and see how it all goes but im sure, both players will do a lot this year. Cannot wait to see Mido, Shawky Zaki, Metob, and Ghaly in England this year. About the Lee Cattermole...U can get Ghaly for less and he is without a doubt a more versatile, proven and experienced player at this stage, and will help Zaki with living in UK.

I'm pretty sure Fifa don't have a ranking system for players - I think this one might be a little tongue-in-cheek from Brucie. Can't complain about the signing though - top deal.
