Wigan Athletic 'Best Ever` Manager

Wigan Athletic 'Best Ever` Manager

Here at Vital Wigan we have been running the Latics 'best ever` series and now we have picked the players we need someone to manage them, so the next instalment is best ever manager

The Latics have had some very successful managers down the years and some very famous ones, Bobby Charlton caretakered the club for two games back in the 1980`s

My own personal favourite though is Paul Jewell, even though he stayed longer than he should have what that guiy did for the club was nothing short of miraculous.

Well that`s my favourite best ever manager, but who is yours?

The poll can be accessed on the right side of this page

It's a shame we can't show our appreciation for the runners-up in these competitions - not the ones who get the second most number of votes, but the second choice of the majority. I think Steve Bruce will probably get the next highest number of votes, but Matty would likely have got the second choice of most voters.

When this set of votes is done, can we have a "worst ever"? That could be fun.

We certainly can and I will expect a lot of flack from putting certain ones in but also for leaving certain ones out!

I said SB because he did such a fantastic job. Not that PJ didn't but SB really brought an air to the club that was so desperately needed.

I understand your reasoning, but my feeling is that a manager has to have been at a club for longer than Bruce before he can be regarded as a "best ever".

I think that Paul Jewel should win this is because of what he did
