Wigan Athletic - Cattermole bid recieved at Boro
Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has confirmed that Boro have indeed received a bid for young midfield player Lee Cattermole with Latics rumoured to have lodged a £3 million bid earlier this week
Southgate told Middlesbroughs official website:
'We have had interest in Lee.
'There has been a lot of loan interest in him and we have had a tentative offer, but that's as far as it has gone at this moment in time.'
With Steve Bruce on the look out for a defensive midfield player since the failure to sign Honduran Hendry Thomas many believe that Cattermole fits the bill.
