Scharner off to Villa?

Paul Scharner is being linked today with a move to Aston Villa as Martin O Neill looks to replace Olaf Melberg.

Scharner was a revaltion when moved into the back four last season and rightly won last season's fans player of the season vote.

Scharner has a year left on his contract and whilst an improved offer is believed to have been made, Scharner appears to be in no hurry to commit to an extended contract with the Latics.

No player is indispensible, however to lose a player of Scharner's quality would be a major blow to Steve Bruce's Premier League ambitions.

So he's not moved? You had me in a panic there...

If this is true we need to out do Villa's stubborness and set the price so high they walk away.

Not much you can do when he only has a year left yams. Not seen enough of him, is he that good to play for the mighty Villa????

i like him even though he's a weirdo!

He's a quality defender Villan, a team chasing Europe is probably the right level for him at the moment unfortunately.

Paul is an excellent player and his goal scoring tally for a defender is good too.

No way on this earth should we let him go Give him the contract that he wants
