Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 Wigan Athletic

Wigan Athletic suffered their first defeat of the season in the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt. Amanatidis scored the first goal and Titus Bramble added an own goal, another comic blunder from the defender.

Don't worry, Titus, I'm still behind you because on your day I know how good you can be.

Both of the goals came in the first half and after a goalless second half, Wigan came away from the match with their first pre-season defeat.

At the end of the day, the result does not mean much as other premier league teams have also suffered to foreign opponents - these games are never easy so Wigan can take credit from the fact they gave it a go.

The good news is that now Amr Zaki is on board, we may see a dramatic change in the scores in the pre-season and hopefully he can emulate his reputation in the premier league as well as any of the friendlies he may play in.

Better luck next time, lads!
