Latics recieve £6 million Heskey bid

It is believed that Greek side Panathinaikos will offer Wigan Athletic £6 million for England striker Emile Heskey and severely test the Latics resolve to hang on to their talisman

Panathinaikos are managed by former Chelsea assistant Henk ten Carte and he is said to be very impressed by Heskey and sees him as the man to lead the clubs European charge this coming season

With Gilberto already on board after signing from Arsenal the Greeks are showing that are not afraid to pay big wages in order to attract big players, it is believed that the Latics are seriously considering the offer

Lets face it guys, he is getting old and I do not think we would get 6 mil next season. Instead we could get Zigic for the same money and he is not just a big figure in the penalty area, but he scores goals.

I don't know - it's a big thing to move your family all that way. He may consider it, but I'll be surprised if he goes. Surely we wouldn't really want to sell him?
