Wigan Athletic Maynor Figueroa comes in for a year

Honduras left back Maynor Figueroa has re-joined the Latics on loan for another year from his club Deportivo Olimpia

Figueroa was at the JJB for the last three months of last season but only made one start, the last game of the season against Manchester United where he marked Cristiano Ronaldo out of the game

Indeed the young Honduran international was so impressive in the game that it was expected that a permanent deal might have been forthcoming

Figueroa has played 47 times for Honduras so unlike his compatriot Hendry Thomas there will be no work permit issues and he will go straight in to the squad for tomorrow nights game at Barnsley
