Figueroa it out Maynor to play at Barnsley

Wigan Athletic left back loan signing Maynor Figueroa is in line for a start in tonights friendly at Championship Barnsley with the Honduras international on a 6 month deal with a view to a permanent signing.

Maynors deal took a while to sort out with Visa and work permits to be sorted but now that its been finalised Latics boss Steve Bruce is delighted

Bruce told the clubs official website:

"Its been another complicated deal, we don`t pick the easy ones at this club, but its all resolved satisfactorily"

Figueroa spent 3 months on loan at the JJB last season but only got to play in one game but still made a big impression on Bruce who said:

"Maynor waited for his chance and did very well when it came last season. He has the potential to do well in England, he has fantastic attitude in training and he is not fazed by the Premier League, I am delighted he is with us"

Figueroa will be available to play tonight following international clearance and he told the official site:

"I am very happy to stay at the Latics. I want to make a career in England and this is why I have tried so hard when I am here. This is the best league in the world and I am grateful to Wigan for giving me this chance and now I just want to repay the faith in me by performing well for the team"

Nice one Maynor I am sure you will be a success, welcome on board from all at Vital Latics
