Marlon King set to stay at Wigan?

Hull City target Marlon King could be set to stay at Wigan Athletic with Latics boss Steve Bruce ready to 'knock the deal on the head`.

Bruce is said to be growing impatient with the length of time that the deal is taking and he is ready to call the whole thing off, Bruce told the Wigan Evening Post:

'It's not happening at the moment, and if it's not going to happen soon I will probably knock the deal on the head. It's gone on long enough.'

'If it's not going to happen, Marlon will be part of the squad here and rightly so, that is what we pay him for."

'There's no problem with him staying here. If the deal is not quite for him and the player isn't sure in his own mind, it's his prerogative to stay.'

With the fee agreed and King having agreed personal terms over at Hull it looks like the stumbling block could well be a pay off settlement from the Latics, looks like this could drag on a while longer yet.

King to stay, long stay the King

Tis a bit rum for Bruce to say all that when it is his own club that is holding the deal up. It was clearly stated that the fee is agreed, terms are agreed so it IS down to them!

May be a blessing in disguise?

It might be a blessing in a disguise, but he wanted 2 million because he will be taking a drop in wages
