Wigan Athletic - Amr Zaki in International Call-Up

Wigan Athletic forward and Egypt international Amr Zaki has been called up to the Egypt squad for their friendly game with Sudan on August 20th

The international comes just 4 days after Latics opening fixture against West Ham and just 4 days before Latics first home game of the season against Chelsea who will be at the JJB on 24th August.

The timing of this international game has come at a bad time for both Zaki and the Latics, with the new season just getting under way Bruce will want all his players fresh and Zaki is still settling in to life at his new club.

Cant see Bruce being too happy about this

i think that calling up zaki to him international team is very important but the end point is bruce should not able zaki to go to this match because wigan nedds him more ... business is business man !!!

Bruce could also only allow him to play 45 mins. This would help as he can play the 1st half then relax for the 2nd and fly home the next or same day to train before the Chelsea game.

He is playing though for the West Ham game which is important. I shant be too concerned about the result at Upton Park because the season's just got underway - other teams have similar problems in trying to get points at the beginning of the season and they always seem to pick up.

This season we have to go with wanting to win every games because we have the quality. Do you think that if Bruce has a chat with the national coach he would make a exception
