Danny Haynes Close to Wigan Deal?

It would appear that Wigan Athletic are close to completing a deal to bring Ipswich Town youngster Danny Haynes north to the JJB.

Vital Wigan reported earlier today that Latics boss Steve Bruce was in Suffolk last night to watch Haynes play in Ipswichs friendly with Premier League side West Ham United.

Now it is understood that negotiations are at an advanced stage and a deal to secure the services of the 20 year old striker isn`t far away.

Haynes can play as a striker or right winger and he is quick and skilful, Harry Redknapp is known top be an admirer of Haynes and Portsmouth were reportedly preparing a bid last month but nothing came of it.

Bruce will act quickly to get the player in before the start of the new campaign a week on Saturday.

Absolute bull****. Danny ain't going anywhere. He is staying at Ipswich, and there has been no solid reports whatsoever. Steve Bruce trys to get to Ipswich games as much as he can, and has been here a number of times over the last year. Reason being: He is coming to watch his son Alex Bruce play. Haynes is a top, top quality player who would have no problems with the premiership at all. He is the fastest player on the planet, it really is phenominal, but he will stay at Town, as he has signed a new contract and wishes to get Ipswich into the Premiership.

Getting the Tractor boys into the Prem could take years and years.

Hmmm well sources at Wigan disagree, maybe he's seen something whilst he's been watching his lad

LoL, Haynes is good, tho if im honest he got abit more to do before hes premiership quality, He'll beat 2 defenders perfectly then over run the ball for a goal kick!! If he consistantly played well he would have been in the Prem already!! jaif - dont let your heart rule your head!! you sound very silly!

You would be incredibly lucky to get Danny Haynes. Robin. you are an utter idiot. Have you seen him play? Who did you expect to sign for Wigan? He is a lightning quick winger/striker, incredible pace, technical ability and accuracy. Tre, he would need a little training, but one more season and he'll be like the English Cristiano Ronaldo ;)
