Latics fans want Zaki and Heskey

The last poll on Vital Wigan asked which strike partnership was the preferred choice of Latics fans and an overwhelming majority plumped for the Zaki - Heskey combination.

Heskey is a Latics talisman, he plays for the team and he is real quality, just doesn`t score enough. Zaki on the other hand looks like he will be scoring for fun.

The much awaited debut of Zaki provided the Latics faithful with a glimpse of his predatory skills with a goal in the last moments of the game at Sheffield Wednesday, he followed this up with a stormer of a goal against Hibs four days later.

Its easy to see why these two are the fans favourite strike partnership, two grafters and Zaki could well turn out to be the perfect foil for Heskey this season.

For the record this is how the voting went:

Heskey & Zaki - 80%
Zaki & Camara - 16%
Heskey & Camara - 2%
Camara & King - 2%

The new poll is asking where in the league will the Latics finish this season, with all the optimism around I predict that it will be top half but lets see what the result will be when the voting closes.

The poll is available on the right side of this page

A good start will give the side confidence and we could be looking at a top half finish

Besides the Chelsea game its not too bad a run in. Fingers crossed. Not saying that we can't get anything against Chelsea mind...

tough draw for wigan in the 1st half of the season with playing away from home against the top teams like Man united , Arsenal , Tottenham , liverpool , portsmouth if we can get the 11 or 12 place in the end of the 1st half we can finished at top half
