Wigan Athletic Fan Interview - The Signings

Wigan Athletic Fan Interview - The Signings

Vital Latics spoke to forum regular lewligan about his feelings on this season new signings, lets see what he had to say:

How you doing lewligan?

Very well thanks

Are you excited about the players that Steve Bruce has brought to the club?

The new signings are very impressive.

What do you think about Amr Zaki, is he the man to score the goals?

Well I firmly believe we have found the goal scorer that we have been missing in previous seasons.

Zaki is a quality player and will score us plenty of goals. I have full faith in him.

We have secured two of Bruces previous signings for Birmingham in Kapo and De Ridder, do you feel they will be a success at the JJB?

Two very talented players in Kapo and De Ridder, both creative and will always be a threat for the opposition defence and they can take their man on confidently and will provide plenty of assists.

What about Lee Cattermole, can you see him settling in well?

Lee Cattermole is a cracking young player.

Reminds me of Michael Brown but with a bit more skill and creativity.

Very good playing as a defensive mid and also very good when going forward, will never back down from a challenge, always gives his all and will create a lot of goal scoring opportunities.

Cattermole could easily become a great player for us over the years!

Anything else pleased you this summer lewligan?

Yes, we have extended Figueroa's loan for another season.

What a great addition to the squad once again.

Very talented left back with bags of talent and a load of potential, he is very strong at the back, powerful, good in the air, good marker and a very solid tackler.

He is also a threat going forward, exceptional pace, can dribble with the ball, has a fierce left foot, isn't afraid to hit one and can put in a good ball.

Once again I believe he will be an excellent player for us this year.

I firmly believe that there are great things to come for this club!!

Well thanks for sharing your thoughts with us lewligan and I agree there will be some great things to come for the Latics in the new season

I also agree but I think we still need another central defender.

Latics v Brighton - Big Game Preview

Latics are back at the DW Stadium this afternoon following a very creditable draw on Tuesday away at Leeds, the game extending our unbeaten run to four, which must give us something of a platform to build on as the season is starting to take shape.

Brighton are flying high at the moment, currently 3rd in the Championship with just one away defeat, Newcastle at St James's Park and they have players, especially in attack, of exceptional quality at this level.
