'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Touch and Go for Kirkland but he should be okay

Vital Wigan spoke to Wigan Athletic goalkeeping coach Nigel Spink this afternoon in Holland following Latics 2-0 win at FC Utrecht about the fitness of Chris Kirkland

Former Villa keeper Spink has worked wonders with Kirkie since his arrival from Birmingham last January and Kirkland has certainly benefited from the likeable European Cup winners expertise.

Spink said:

"It`s a bit touch and go but he should be ready for next weekend, I`d say he`ll be in the starting eleven"

Well that`ll do for us Spinksy
