Wigan Athletic - Olivier Kapo on His Way?

Wigan Athletic - Olivier Kapo on His Way?

The Daily Mirror are reporting that Latics new signing Olivier Kapo is unhappy with life at the JJB and is already seeking a move to pastures new with Sunderland waiting in the wings with a £3 million bid.

This seems a strange one to me, Kapo wanted to move from Birmingham following their relegation, initially there were two clubs interested in his signature ourselves and French side AS Monaco

Now with Kapo himself being French it appeared that there might be a big battle to get his signature with the interest of Monaco, but no, Kapo knew Steve Bruce and Eric Black from Birmingham City.

Kapo also knew Daniel De Ridder and Wilson Palacios again from their time together at Birmingham, so it wasn`t like he was coming to a club full of strangers.

Now to some, not me I might add, Wigan may not be their number one choice of places to live, but in these modern times professional footballers have cars and with Wigans excellent motorway link you can be in the suburbia paradise that is Cheshire in less than 30 minutes with all the other football superstars from around the North West.

Lack of first team opportunities maybe? Don`t think so, Kapo started all the preseason games that he was available for and the word is that he has a place in tomorrows starting eleven at West Ham

This sounds like a bit of paper devilment to me, Kapo hasn`t been at the club long enough to become unsettled so we will have to see what, if anything comes of this.

Dont like these rumours of players being unsettled, there is the old saying 'no smoke without fire' and these rumours come from somewhere, maybe his agent?

This is not good news if true, everything has been so positive up to now.

Now that Ronaldo has finally made up his mind, footy writers have not much to write about. So one of them says, "Oh look, Kapo is still living in a hotel. He must be edgy and upset." Actually, the guy is just looking for a house, but who cares, it fills up the pages.
