Stephen Carr set to Join Wigan Athletic

Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce is set to offer Republic of Ireland and former Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United defender Stephen Carr another chance at Prenier League football.

Carr was released at the end of last season by Newcastle and although Ipswich are also reportedly interested the pull of the Premier League will prove to much and the highly experienced 31 year old is expected to sign at the JJB this coming week.

Spurs fan here. Imho Carr needs a holiday more than anything else. He was out of it long before he left Spurs, to say nothing of his Newcastle stint. He's a shadow of the player he once was, quite honestly.
