Mido To Wigan on Season Long Loan

Egypt and Middlesbrough forward Mido could be set to join his international team-mate Amr Zaki on a season long loan at Wigan Athletic.

Latics boss Steve Bruce is a known admirer of the former Zamalek and Spurs striker and with Marlon King having left the JJB for Hull City, Latics are short in the forward department.

Mido said of the reported deal:

'I was informed that Wigan want to sign me on loan, but they are yet to contact Middlesbrough'

'Wigan coach Steve Bruce admires my abilities. He has tried to sign me when he was in charge of Birmingham, and now he has renewed his interest.'

'I will take my final decision next week after meeting Gareth Southgate'

'Southgate told me that he wants to keep me at The Riverside. I will talk with him to settle on the best choice.'

'I seek regular first-team football. Both clubs can offer me equal chances to play on a regular basis. Both of them have very good strikers also.'

'But I'm sure I can force my way into the starting XI of any team once I regain full fitness.'

'I may opt to stay at Middlesbrough for the sake of stability. I settled in there after spending a whole season with them.'

'Anyway, I won't close the door on a move to Wigan. I may end up joining them if they offered me more first-team football.'

Mido and Zaki, some Egyptian dream team there

to DAD2DAVID : YOU HAVE TO RESPECT YOUR SELF AND DON'T USING A WORD LIKE THAT ( IDIOT ) IM NOT JUDGE MIDO ANY WAY , I JUST WANT TO CORRECT WHAT'S WORBO IS WRITTEN IN THIS ARTICLE , AND WHEN IM SAID THAT MIDO HAS NO CHANCE TO START AT STARTING XI , IT'S DOESN'T MEANING THAT I JUDGE HIM . HISKY & ZAKI SHOULD STARTING AT WIGAN AND AFONSO & TUNCAY AT BORO
ehabfarouk1973
Guys, mido has proven so far this season that he is commited, he reminds me of his first loan season at spurs, a mido zaki combination would be interresting they have different skills and know each other language and style. i would love to see it materialize
