Steve Bruce Talks Chelsea and Scolari

Wigan Athletic manager Steve Bruce answered a few questions ahead of Sundays clash with Chelsea at the JJB, lets see what he had to say:

What do you think about the appointment of Scolari at Chelsea Steve?

'Scolari has an unbelievable record in the world game."

'But this is his first club job for seven years and he is at Chelsea to test himself further."

'Scolari has the resources available which are the envy of us all and I'm sure he'll do very well there."

How do you feel coming up against managers of the calibre of Scolari?

'The Premier League is the best in the world and now we have one of the best coaches in the world."

'Before him, Chelsea had Jose Mourinho and Avram Grant who were excellent coaches too, and it's fantastic to pit your wits about people like that."

How do you see the race for the title going this season?

'You can't write Chelsea off when it comes to the title. It was so close last season, it went right down to the wire."

'It wouldn't surprise me if it went the same way again; both Chelsea and Manchester United are exceptionally good teams."

'Liverpool and Arsenal will be hoping to win it, but I still think it will be between Chelsea and United.'

How do you see tomorrow going Steve?

"Chelsea is the ultimate test for us. They were exceptional when they beat Portsmouth last week."

"We have to be fully focused and concentrate from beginning to end, that is what kept us in the division last season."

Nice one Brucie, thanks

I am still going for a 1-0 Latics win with a Zaki goal to settle it

We'll see merlin, if you cant have faith in your own side at the start of the season, well why bother supporting them?
