Kapo Looks to Anelka for Inspiration

Wigan Athletic attacking midfield player Olivier Kapo is looking to Chelsea striker and fellow Frenchman Nicolas Anelka for inspiration following Anelkas re-emergence in the France national team.

Kapo was actually born in the same city, Abidjan the capital city of the Ivory Coast, as Chelsea`s 'other` striker Didier Drogba, but moved to Paris when he was quite young and coincidentally grew up in the same Paris suburb as Anelka

Kapo chose to represent France on the international stage rather than the Ivory Coast and he has made 9 appearances for them but his last came 4 years ago and now he is eyeing a return to the France national team.

The 27 year old has seen Anelka rebuild his career at Bolton and force his way back into the national coach`s plans

Kapo said:

"When I look at Nicolas Anelka it inspires me to think I can also get back into the France team"
