Despite another decent performance from Wigan, they've lost their 8th game in a row to Chelsea in all competitions since their promotion to the Premier League, including one FA Cup tie.

It wasn't to be as Deco's superb early free kick proved to be the difference despite the home team's pressure on the Chelsea goal.

Reflecting on the match, manager Steve Bruce felt it was a point lost as Chelsea failed to test his stand in keeper Mike Pollitt after the goal. The ex-Birmingham boss, in his second tenure at the JJB Stadium, believes his side should have come away with a share of the spoils despite preparation being hampered, with two of his first team players having long distances to travel for the midweek international friendlies just gone.

We've had rumours on the Spurs site linking us with Heskey, have you guys heard anything there, and how would you feel about it. I think he's great personally, but I'm on my own over here. You were robbed today guys, Thank God for Portsmouth or we'd both be bottom of the league eh lol
