Wigan Athletic - Heskey to Panathinaikos

Wigan Athletic forward Emile Heskey is believed to be the subject of a renewed offer from Greek club Panathinaikos and is said to be considering his future ahead of the transfer deadline date on Monday next week.

The Greek side are managed by former Chelsea assistant Henk Ten Cate and signed Brazil midfield man Gilberto from Arsenal in July and they are in tomorrows (Friday) draw for the group stages of the Champions League.

Rumours of Heskey to Panathinaikos were doing the rounds a few weeks ago and it is well known that Ten Cate is an admirer of the big man, with speculation of Mido joining the Latics from Middlesbrough, Heskey may well be heading through the JJB exit door

Heskey to leave? Seems he is a wanted man
worbo
departure of heskey can make some trouble for wigan by decreasing the number of strikers to only 2 and wigan not yet signed any player with 3 days to the end of summer transfer

thanks god
ammadou

I would prefer us to keep heskey tbh

I think he has been good at Wigan so far. But the games that ive seen this season he seems not to be pulling his weight a bit. Like he's got something on his mind maybe the speculation is getting to him a bit. I dn't realy want him to go as alot of people and kids like him and we need all the supporters we can get What amazes me is that no one has come out of the club and say that he's not for sale. Wheather people beleive me or not he's a big player for the club. He does alot for the team He seems like a lazy player but does berbatov for spurs 'but he does score the goals needed' thanks just Heskeys style ANYONE ONE AGREE
Jonni_G
I agree Jonni that Hesks should stay unless a massive offer comes in...he is very important to the team
worbo
I think after the transfer window closes we will see a different Hesky the 1 that we all know Brucie should have a word
Jonni_G
dunno a striker needs to score goals and he doesnt at least mido would mido n zaki upfront WOW:D
lathamwafc
Never realy liked mido, he's ok but dn't realy rate him Maybe we should play Heskey in defence or midfield, just a sugesstion
