Zaki at the Double in 5 Star Show

Wigan Athletic and Egypt striker Amr Zaki scored two goals as the Latics ran riot at the KC Stadium to inflict Hull City`s first ever Premier League defeat with a 5-0 thrashing

Hull defender Ricketts opened the scoring after 5 minutes with an own goal slicing a Kevin Kilbane corner past keeper Myhill and into his own net.

This was quickly followed by a tremendous solo effort from Antonio Valencia who ran over half the length of the pitch before slotting past Hull keeper Myhill on 13 minutes.

The second half saw Zaki side foot into the net on 63 minutes with Heskey finishing from an acute angle 5 minutes later, Zaki ended the scoring with a stunning volley from 18 yards that crashed over the line off the crossbar on 81 minutes.

A good day for Latics and the first points of the new season came in style.

More than a good day at the races Worbo. The words I'd use to describe it are too revealing to use here but I am chuffed. An impressive performance from the Latics and we deserved points from our first two games so this is just rewards.
