Amr Zaki Man of The Match

Wigan Athletic striker Amr Zaki has been voted Man of the Match by Vital Latics voters for his two goal haul and all round performance in yesterdays game against Hull at the KC Stadium.

Zaki bagged two second half goals, one a tremendous volley that crashed in off the underside of the bar, and he contributed well to what was an excellent team performance.

Antonio Valencia was my choice and he came in second, his goal was a wonderful solo effort running with the ball from his own half before slotting past the keeper.

For the record the votes went:

1st Amr Zaki - 87%
2nd Antonio Valencia - 7%

The new poll is available on the right side of this page and is asking which areas of the team need strengthening before the transfer deadline passes at midnight tomorrow

Middlesbrough striker Mido has claimed Wigan striker Emile Heskey will ‘leave soon’ amid reports that Tottenham are set to swoop. Gareth Southgate has repeatedly said he has no interest in selling Mido, but the Egypt international has admitted he is tempted by the offer of first-team football at the JJB Stadium. And, amid reports Tottenham are looking to boost their striking options with a move for Heskey, Mido has announced that Wigan boss Steve Bruce is set to allow Heskey to leave the club. “Boro want to keep me,” Mido told The People. “But the transfer market is still open and Steve Bruce wants me to replace Emile Heskey, who will leave soon.” hmmm well

Why dn't we get mido and keep Hesky. He's an important part of the team Mido wants a regular first team spot. That will be hard, Camara might be the first choice, if we give him a chance as he looks on fire and he's a point to prove. Dn't forget the first season he was here he scored 12 goals more than Drogba, and we've got a more improved squad that will play on the floor now and thats what he thrives on
Jonni_G
The rumour is that the 2 million we played gives us priority to be the first to sign him. Thats if he scores more than 8 or 10 goals b4 Christmas, and he's happy and setteled and we've areed around 5 million NJICE IF TRUE
Jonni_G
Zaki could be a quality player for you lot.
rslack
