Aston Villa Come in for Heskey

With just over 2 hours of the transfer window left open Sky Sports are reporting that Aston Villa have enquired about Wigan Athletic striker Emile Heskey

Heskey was earlier today linked to both Spurs and Newcastle; it seems he is a player in demand lets hope that the deadline passes without the sale of our talisman

As a Villa fan, I hope he doesn't go either...! No offence to you boys but I just don't want him. Plus as an ex-Bluenose he would have to work harder/achieve more than a lot of other new signings would just to get accepted by a lot of fans.

Why is it that you Wigan fans want him to stay? (Not a loaded or sarcastic question) just I really don't think he is good enough, seems to be a 1 goal in 5 games striker for you, so what is the big deal? I really hope he stays for you! I can see if he had his awesome performances more often he could be great but he is either injured or off form far too often isn't he?

Video Highlights - Wigan Athletic 0 Nottingham Forest 0

The action(?) from yesterday's game at the DW Stadium between Wigan Athletic and Nottingham Forest which ended goalless:

Report - Latics 0 Forest 0 - What A Shocker

Thirteen games to save our Championship status, first up a home game against Nottingham Forest who are on a shocking run of form, conceded 10 goals in their last three matches, three of their first choice defenders missing through injury, they had lost 11 of their 16 away games this season with a -16 goal difference on the road and sat just six points above us in the table, surely a game that we would set out to win.

Checking the team selection I felt slightly optimistic but slightly conf
