Kingson linked with Latics move

Kingson (30)who previously played under Steve Bruce at Birmingham, making one first team appearence was released by mutual consent in the summer, after allegedly being labelled , ''complete waste of space' by the club's chairman David Sullivan.

Kingson, has spent most of his playing career in Turkey where he is a naturalised citizen and has played 58 times for his country Ghana.

Steve Bruce confirmed in the local press that he is keen to sign the player who was voted the best goalkeeper in this years African Cup oF Nations.

Latics are currently down to only two expereinced keepers and need a third keeper as back up.

As a free agent he can be signed outside the transfer window as Salomen Olembe was last September.
