The Daily Mail ran a piece by some sports editor going by the name of 'Hatchet Man`, says it all really, about Michael Brown and an alleged move from the Latics to Sheffield United
He forgets that Brownie has had a succesful time in football at Manchester City, Sheffield United, Spurs, Fulham and the Latics
He starts off by claiming that Brownies career is in decline and that its not a moment too soon, what an idiot you are Scratchit Man.
The article goes on to say:
'He is not a tough player, but sly and cowardly and his game is not good enough to compensate.
Brown's record shows 11 yellow cards last season and 10 the year before that. There is only one red in the last three campaigns, but that is because his fouls are always in cold blood.`
Wow, I wonder if you have ever seen Brownie play or are you one of the pundits who get all their 'knowledge` off a 2 minute screening of Latics matches on the wonderful top four programme known as Match of the Day.
Michael Brown was an integral part of the reason Wigan Athletic avoided relegation last season, he harried, closed down, and tackled opponents, he was in their faces, yes, but surely that`s part of the game of a defensive midfield player
You say 'only one red in the last three campaigns, but that is because his fouls are always in cold blood`. What on earth are you on about? Brownie gets stuck in, he tackles, you don`t see the flaying elbows that Shearer was famous for, or kicking opponents off the ball that Mascherano does or the over the top tackles that Rooney likes to do.
Roy Keane, how many 'cold blood` tackles did he make in his career?
It is apparent Scratch it that you have something personal against Brownie, if you want to share it leave a comment at the bottom of this article, unlike the one at the Mail I will publish your reply.
Maybe you are a bit miffed because you are writing for a two-bob comic and cant get a proper job?
